Step 1 – Choosing the Bread for your subway sandwich

The first step in how to make a subway sandwich at home is to choose your bread roll. You can purchase various kinds of baguettes or rolls that will suffice for the bread in this amazing sandwich or alternatively you could always make your own. I try and keep my rolls of choice to something like they use in the subway stores, and get a bread with baked cheese on.. very nice. However, its your preference and use any roll of your choice, after all you will be eating it.

Step 2 – Choosing a filling for your subway sandwich

The second step in how to make a subway sandwich at home is deciding upon a main filling. In the subway stores you have a wide variety of choices for your sandwich. My own personnel favorites are the Italian Meat Feast (pepperoni and salami) or tuna mayo. But its completely up to you. Other selections they have in the store are Chicken, Ham or Turkey and meat balls. The video tutorial above shows you how to make a subway sandwich at home and shows you the meatball instructions. Very Nice.

Step 3 – Adding a bit of Cheese if you desire and Cooking the sandwich

This third step how to make a subway sandwich at home is completely optional, and just like the other steps, its completely up to you. You don’t have to have cheese in your sandwich, or if you do want cheese its completely up to you what kind of cheese you use. I tend to like a medium chedder cheese, whilst my wife loves melted blue cheese in her’s. Then its up to you whether you toast the sandwich to melt the cheese. This will warm up the entire sandwich and it’s always my preferred method, but hey I’ve been in subway before and seen people take out cold sandwich’s.

Step 4 – Adding salad to your Subway Sandwich

This is the fourth step on how to make a subway sandwich at home. This is what sets the sandwich off in my opinion. What salad ingredients you add again is completely up to you, just like you get a massive choice in the subway outlets. I always, and this is not what you have to do is add lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, green bell peppers and jalapenos. But what you add like is said throughout this tutorial is add what you like.

Step 5 – Adding a sauce to your Subway Sandwich

The last step on how to make a subway sandwich at home is adding a sauce of your choice, but only if you want to. There are many dressing’s available to add to sandwichs and the overall choice is again, completely up to you. I prefer to add a Creamy Chipotle sauce to mine. It gives it a little spicy kick. However feel free to use any sauce you prefer. And with that you now know how to make a subway sandwich at home for a fraction of the cost.

So now you know how to make a subway sandwich at home and all that’s left to do is eat your sandwich and enjoy this delicacy that I call the king of all sandwich’s. Yep, I like em.
